IT/ ERP QAD SYSTEM ENGINEER
Requirements:
- Determined on a project by project basis. Tasks may include guiding installation, configuration, training, business process design, testing, definition of customization, creating schedules, and deliverable related to the above.
- Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives
- Establishes knowledge of QAD related standards, executes to them and provides input to improve them.
- Ensures project documentation is stored in internal QAD project repositories.
- Design business process and application configuration for QAD applications based on industry best practices. Lead and conduct project activities at the client site.
- Interact with the key end users and business owners to map applications to standard business processes and conduct gap analysis
- Architect the solutions and suggest process improvements based on the application capability and industry best practices.
- Lead/Support all solution activities including testing and verification
- Thoughtfully and carefully researches and analyzes more complex problems, determines options and recommended solutions.
- Operates under goals and objectives set by business or project manager and determines the tasks and steps necessary to accomplish the objective.
- Works independently and requires minimal support. Provides direction and guidance to client and consultants assigned to work on their particular area of expertise.
- Proactively identifies issues, risks and mitigation strategies and established forums with appropriate management to resolve.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science
- Minimum of five (5) years of QAD ERP implementation experience. Significant experience in manufacturing/distribution/finance can speak to issues and processes at all levels.
- Complete and total understanding of the ERP implementation lifecycle.
- Self starter, self directed, self motivated. This candidate is an independent thinker with ability to see big picture while attending to the details. This is a team player, a leader, problem solver and a consultant.
