PT Astra Honda Motor - AHM is the largest motorcycle manufacturer in Indonesia and is a multinational joint venture between Japan's Honda Motor Co. and Indonesia's PT Astra International Tbk (Astra Group). Honda Motor Co owns a 50 percent stake in AHM with the remainder of the shares belonging to Astra Group. AHM was first established in 1971 as PT Federal Motor. PT Astra Honda Motor was formed in 2001 as a merger results between PT Federal Motor and its subsidiaries. AHM now has 3 Honda production lines with installed production capacity of 4.2 million units per year.
